100 Miles To Barstow

Tom:

C
G

(Chorus)
100 miles to Barstow and the rain keeps comin' down

G C
100 miles to Barstow on the sadist side of town
100 miles to Barstow with a bottle in my hand
100 miles to Barstow cause im alone again

She swore she would be all mine she said her love was true
And did all the kinds of things that a woman usually do
Well the good time they turned bad and the bad time they turned sad
Now Im a 100 mile to Barstow wising for what I had

Why does love have to hurt so bad why is it so cruel
Everytime I fall im love I feel just like a fool
How do I know when its real I can never tell
100 mile to Barstow its like a 100 mile to hell

Love can be your friend if you drive her straight and slow
But I never heeded her advice and I drove right of the road
Well my love you discarded like a bottle on the side of the road
now im a hundred miles to Barstow with no Place left to go
