Why Cifra Agora exists

The project grew from a situation musicians face in real life: receiving only an audio recording of a song to perform and finding no usable chord sheet online. Figuring out lyrics, key and chords by ear can take hours.

With songs in another language, the challenge may be greater because the lyrics also need to be identified before the chord sheet can be assembled. Cifra Agora brings that work into one workflow.

From recording to chord sheet in one place

Cifra Agora analyzes the song, prepares the lyrics and combines musical information to place chords over the text. When the song is recognized confidently, the result can be prepared faster and more consistently.

For a new song, the tool continues the process from the recording and keeps the result editable for practice, transposition, simplification, printing or export.

Made to save practice time

The goal is not to replace a musician’s ear, but to remove much of the repetitive work of starting a chord sheet from scratch so more time can go into rehearsing and playing.
