C F
well i kissed genevieve on christmas eve
Am G
in my father's house, by the christmas tree
C F
and the fire burns, when the windows freeze
Am G
but the warmth i felt with her next to me
F G
oh, my genevieve
C F
she'll leave one day but the snow will stay
Am G
when all that's left of love's in picture frames
F Fm
and i'll hear her name and still feel the same
C F
i kissed genevieve on christmas eve
Am G
in my father's house, by the christmas tree
C F
and i'd do anything just to hear her sing
Am G
how the notes ring out like a symphony
F Fm
well my heart still dreams of genevieve
C F
with each christmas light and mistletoe
Am G
how my love for genevieve will grow
C F
every card i write, every kiss goodnight
Am G
every lullaby, every time she cries
F Fm
she'll be on my mind
C F
i kissed genevieve on christmas eve
Am G
in my father's house, by the christmas tree
