Preparing a chord sheet for print
A useful printout should be readable before it is decorative. Review title, key, capo, section labels and spacing between chords and lyrics. Avoid lines that are too long for the page.
Use print preview to inspect margins and page count. For long sheets, slightly reducing font size is usually better than squeezing all vertical spacing.
PDF and printing
PDF is best when you want to preserve the reviewed layout. Printing is useful for rehearsals and performances.
Before saving, check paper size, margins and the final preview.
Organization for stage and practice
Label Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge and Ending clearly. Repeated sections can be referenced instead of duplicated when that saves pages without making live reading confusing.
